What a coincidence indeed. Director of high reputation P Vasu written script for ‘Ratha Sapthami’ super hit film of Shivarajakumar in 1986 and now for the festival of Ratha Sapthami on February 14, the first combination of Shiv and P Vasu ‘Shivalinga’ is hitting on February 12 in over 200 theatres in KA Suresh Arts Production.


‘Shivalinga’ is a new attempt from P Vasu, director of 60 films in South India. P Vasu uses a pigeon (white pigeon named it as Sahara from Chennai, a well trained one – taken work for nearly 20 days from it) as a main clue for investigative officer Dr Shiv in ‘Shivalinga’ – the pigeon what we have seen in ‘Kasthuri Nivasa’ obviously comes in the memory – it is a different case in ‘Shivalinga’. A white pigeon has a song in the background, it participates in the race of flying and gets first prize. The same pigeon has witnessed a murder. For Shiv the last resort in investigation completion is this ‘pigeon’.

Producer KA Suresh feels the purpose and quality has turned precisely in this film. What’s next was also in the minds of those who have seen at the censor board stated Suresh.


It is a different film in my career and hope so in the career of Dr Shivarajakumar. We have done a sincere effort for this film. It has all ingredients of a commercial film. The sound plays very important like how the silence of Dr Shiv and Avinash takes center stage in expression. The CG done for the film is also accurately done. For the title ‘Shivalinga’ there is right meaning. Like how Lord Shiva inhales difficulties – Shiva in this film take on professional and person problems in his head and heart to give solution adds P Vasu a very intelligent director and eloquent speaker.


Dr Shivarajakumar recalling the days of Guru and Ratha Sapthami says in the last 30 years it was not possible to work under P Vasu. Producer Suresh obtaining call sheet for two films locked me. One is this ‘Shivalinga’. The point of ‘What’s Next’ is not only for audience but the feel was there for characters in the film. I had to give counter expressions in eyes. For that the opponents also should be so challenging. That has happened. Vedika is too good in improvising what is told for her lauded Dr Shiv. The cinematography of PKH Doss Shivanna mentioned with pride.
